Fan Assisted Ovens - Assisting You to Cook Meals Faster

Fan Assisted Ovens - Assisting You to Cook Meals Faster

Cooking a meal in the oven can take some considerable time especially for larger food items like roasted meats. The trouble is that many of us do not have the time in our busy lives to take time to cook a proper meal every day and so may have to resort to sloppy microwave dinners instead.

Luckily we don't have to settle for bland food and can now use ovens in a much quicker way, by using a fan assisted oven. Fan assisted ovens work just like regular ovens except a fan built into the back of the oven aids the hot air to circulate around the oven. The hot air moves in what is known as convectional waves but the natural way warm air circulates means that certain areas of the oven do not get as much heat.

Positioning food in the oven used to be a balancing act if you had two different trays of food to put in there, it would mean you'd have to rotate them midway through or wait for one tray to be finished cooking before putting the second in.

Now with fan assisted ovens you can put trays anywhere in the oven and you can not only get even cooking for all trays inside the oven but you don't have to worry about the flavours clashing with each other. Most fan assisted ovens don't even need preheating which is something that typically extends the length of time you need to set aside to cook food. Because fan ovens are more efficient and quicker to heat up you typically won't need to spend as long cooking or have the temperature as high as you do for other ovens.

Because the oven is only on when you need to cook some food then you are going to save a lot of electricity or gas by not using the oven for as long as you would both preheating and the slower cooking process too. Utility bills are one o f the key things many homeowners are trying to cut down their spending on and by using these ovens instead of older, inefficient models.

Generally a lot of modern ovens now use a fan whether it is a fan oven where the heated element is in the rear of the oven around the fan or a fan assisted oven where the heating comes from above and below but also has the fan in the back wall to push air around the oven cavity.
